2012 Dandelion Vineyards Red Queen of the Eden Valley Shiraz was reviewed by James Suckling at 98 Points!!! Here are his tasting notes: "This has an immensely complex, dark, brooding character with dark, stony, savory elements, pepper and spice. Fragrant, deep and bold. Plums and black fruits with liquorice and tar. The aromatic depth is striking. On the palate there's an incredibly deep arc of flavor, and the tannins are muscular and long, carrying spice-wrapped dark-plum and blackberry fruit very deep and even, holding the finish in place, smoldering long and fading slowly. Old-vine presence at its best, nicely delivered with complexity and balance. Better in 2024."
